Photo/Video Competition
We always welcome submissions to our galleries. Have you attended a SwizzleStick Theatre event? Took a few good photographs, or some video? Send us a sample - they might go up on our site! We will award a $100 (Cdn) to one picture or video every year. From time to time, if we spot a worthy shot, we will send out bonuses of $10 to $50 to the photographer or videographer. If you get a bonus amount, you still have a chance to win the yearly contest! By sending us your photos or videos, whether or not we send compensation, you are giving us the right to use the images as we see fit. You will retain copyright and be given a photo credit. Photos or videos not of The SwizzleStick Theatre are unlikely to be used, but if they're particularly stunning, we might consider them. Bear in mind, they should be related to stilts or street theatre, or to one of our themes or obsessions (like scarecrows or Salvador Dali) and it's your obligation to get proper permissions from any models or performers involved. If you want to exchange a few images along with links for your site, that might also be possible. Amusing pix or nice snapshots will be considered for our blog, but there's no compensation attached. Images should be a decent size and resolution for the web and in jpg/jpeg format. Please don't send any emails larger in total size (with attachments) than 2 mb. and don't send more than 3 such emails at a time. You can also mail a CD or send a web address for downloading.
